    Default 12 year old seeds

So, I have some 12 year old seeds which I would like to get them germinated.

I have scuffed them with an emery board etc, and they are in a tub on some wet kitchen towels, at about 26 degrees C. The seed shells have split but the tap root is coming on really very slow after 3 days. Should I let them carry on at their own pace and change out the paper towel as and when needed?

If anyone is interested, they are some Durban Poison x Skunk #1 cross, a Kalichakra, and some random Sativa.

Sounds like you have a solid plan already. If they're still viable you should be good.

I've used just a drop or two of bleach per liter of water to start seeds with. Especially with a longer than normal germination.
It will stop any rot or algae from forming.

    Good luck! Keep us posted.
I don't know anything... And I can prove it!

I'm in the same type of boat as well as you Valentina,
I got some Northern Haze Express that i have had for over 3 years and they are doing very similar to yours, shell cracked open within 24 hours,
now the root is growing very slow and at the rate it is, i'm thinking it could be 5 days before i plant them...... very strange...

5 Days! Fingers crossed yours go according to plan.

Mine seem to have frozen in time. i am swapping them out of their tub and the kitchen towel every 3 days or so, just so that they don't go mouldy, but in all honesty 9 days on they have not progressed visibly at all. Would be nice if even ONE seed comes through.
