    Default DIY CO2 generator

My wife and I brew beer.

so I decided to make my own organic CO2 creator.

take a home brew airlock, and a 1gallon pickle jar.
drill hole in lid for airlock, similar to setting up a fermenting bucket.

fill pickle jar with a mixture of water and corn sugar, add a packet of wine yeast....its able to work in 80-90 degrees...

    put in tent...poof...auto co2

then every few days add some more sugar to kickstart yeast again

    every week, rinse repeat

...and it's all sucked out by the extraction fan

Thanks, I was thinking of something similar, my fans don't run at dark and only come on at high temps, so a co2 set in front of my circulation fan might be beneficial, I can say I see no downside of trying this, other than a bit of work.

CO2 is beneficial if all other conditions are optimal...nutes, light, and heat at maximum levels. if you aren't maxed out on the other three, it is more hassle than it is a benefit especially trying to monitor the levels of CO2 in your room.

I'd like to see your setup and grow room. interested in seeing how you get around needing an extraction fan. I suppose it could be done using an air conditioning unit and humidifier/dehumidifier. please share with the group!

I used to be a baker and was using yeast for the same thing in my tent.
To address the issie about it getting sucked out, you should probably get a full cycle of air in your room every so often.
You can vent just the heat from the lights and run an enclosed system. Co2 is more dense than air. It sinks.
Any extra co2 is helpful, but you want to hit a certain ppm.
It takes patience, changing fan speeds and timers, and plenty of other things om failing to mention.
You can get stuff to automatically adjust co2 output.
