How close am I to harvesting my buds?

This is my first grow, so be gentle please....

So, I think I'm getting pretty close to harvesting my buds, top bud looks great but a little lower down they still have white hairs etc.. They're all covered in crystals!

All thoughts and advice greatly appreciated!

I don't own a loupe, I have just ordered one though 60x & 30x..

Can I tell roughly when they're ready without the loupe for now? I have another grow on the way which should be hell of a lot better than this, so by the time it comes to harvesting that one I should be more equip.

IMO the top bud looks ready, but the lower ones are not.

you won't no till you check trichs mate. pistols can brown off and still not be ready chop.

and also depends how you want the smoke as per that picture.

you want a week of water at least. you want them leaves goin abit yellow which will give you a smoother smoke

judging from pics about nine inches id say..


without a loupe/usb microscope,its a coin toss

It's going in soil, just a standard compost with no added nutrients or slow release shiz.
