    Default My Shed

    Hey all,

Little backstory why I decided to go this route with shed. I happen to have a friend that does larger ventures, known him for years and never knew until he needed help with one and he began to teach me picking what I could.

I spent a lot of time here also and decided to take on a tent in spare bedroom growing headbanger and tangie. The cuttings I got was mixed (should have all been tangie) so the headbanger was an absolute ass to deal with being a foot taller but struggled through first grow in a tent with a 5ft nft tray and got 700grams out of the 3 plants which for technically first time I was happy with and got to make lots of butter without having to deal with idiots to buy it

Looking to do another but didn't want issue I had with space, GF moaning about taking up room in her dressing room I looked to garden which don't use and decided to build my own purpose built shed.

Now I'm not a chippy but also not a idiot and was sure I could work it out as was a skilled laborer when first left school

    Here was the plan outlay

Going to have to vents one top and bottom of each other on side wall as it vents next to a fence and another building so cant be heard there and is shaded so the air is kept cooler there in summer

After reading peoples issues with shed grows I thought Insulation is a must so I pretty much done it like a stud wall but crammed in the rockwall as well as adding Thermal wrap (basically foiled bubble wrap) to both sides of the wall. Like so:

Would love to do a purpose built shed for my grows. How many girls you planning on growing in there? And what size extraction are you looking at?

First of all was planning to do 12 but scaled back a bit for safety reasons so now just 9 plants 3 in each tray. I used what I had which was 3250m3/hr boxfans

After finding a building merchant managed to haggled down and ordered a ton of treated 4x2 (no where near enough as I found out), 9mm exterior ply, 11mm OSB2, insulation etc

next step was to sort base out with little effort and cost as possible so instead of digging down and concrete it, Dug corners down a foot filled with stone and leveled off and put concrete blocks down. Then got 2 4x2 lengths and bolted them together laid these on top of blocks for shed to be built from

Then had to work out a way to do the underside after 30 min I definitely wanted it just as insulted and solid as the walls so done 400 centers wrapped the under side with thermal wrap and then boarded it.

That's more like it,if you pulled 700 grams on your first go
There's no way you need 12.doing 9 will keep you sweet at 2
Grows a year in winter so your stocked for summer and don't need
    To struggle with summer temps.

Well from friend tutorship he gets around 1k from 3 plants in 1 tray so that's the goal. Yeah Temps have been a pain, air cooler has been god send but definitely investing in LED next time round with fewer hps

Had to flip it round so bottom was on bottom which was an absolute pleasure to do alone!

After wrestling with no room and knocking off the 4x4 it rests on constantly finally got it into place and insulated it, only looking back at photos once finished I realised I forgot to put noggins in oops!

Finished boarding floor off reading for walls

Walls pretty much the same as floor frame them on floor insulated them and board them. Side wall just had to cut some holes in for ventilation, just put some grills over to stop with mesh to stop anything other than air come through.
