Ive got the light 99% done but the second mean well (LPV 150 36) constant voltage doesnt seem to work properly. I tried it connected with the other mean well and every light would flicker brighter and then back to normal. I figured it didnt like being hooked up with the other power supply so I did my math and divided the amperage and set the 600w to 16 cobs and isolated 4 to the 150W driver and they turn on for a second and off and flicker like this...any one have any ideas? I read it might be over driving but if that was the case when I hooked it with both drivers they should have had plenty of head room.

managed to make it work yet?

did you soldered the wires or used the cheapo 3way splicers?

I want to build basically the same thing , same cobs and the 600w 36v meanwell driver ... with 12 cobs per driver

after doing some research and with some help from smarter individuals I came to the conclusion running parallel is too much of a hussle , it can be done with current limiter resistors in series with the cobs , but there are difficulties in finding the right resistor as the max current draw rises with cob temp , so .. I would say pass

Also citizen advises for a series array of cobs. if that matters...

Nice project you have there. Water cooling is ambitious and will work well.

When I get the funds together I will be going down the 3590 route. As said above the most desirable way to drive LEDs is in series.

3 months in growing 12/12 from seed. My 150w driver seems to be defective. Will replace it w another 600w and make em both 600w and individual rather than linked.

Water temps now with 600w spread on 14 cobs is 52c per rad. Temp tents are VERY stable. 21-22c lights off. 26.5c lights on

Only got another grow in after this one. Issues with leaking connections killed 2 Cobs they rotted apart basically but no fires or any of the sort. Also caused the reservoirs to go dry and basically boil the water in the cpu blocks but thankfully no catastrophic failures.

Im building a aluminum extrusion version of the fixture as the shelf got in the way alot when trying to get in the tent. Also using automotive grade silicone hoses as the kitchen hoses would collapse under heavy suction from water pumps and would kink and soften while hot and slowly leak.

Im adding more cpu blocks with 2800k spectrum cobs. Pics soon.

Any updates buddy? I've been experimenting with water cooled custom rigs myself. I'd love to know what temps you're now getting and if that rad was sufficient I'm presuming 2 triples would be ideal for 600w with decent fans. But I'd like to create a unit with a j temp of just above ambient for maximum efficacy and longevity.

And look into qbs efficacy relative to cobs buddy. If going the cob route I'd recommend either latest Samsung lc080D, citiled clu048 1818 or latest bridgelux vero depending on needs.
