Upgrading from 150w HPS.

I,m looking to upgrade my growlight for my next grow.My tent is a DS60.Would like to ask your opinions on what would be the most powerful light set up I could put in there without too many heat issues.?

A 250w HPS with a dimmable ballast that will do super lumen too

I'd go with a 600 and just get you a 250 bulb on half setting. That way when you get a bigger tent, you will already have a 600. JMO

Thanks for the replies guys.MC.I<m gonna go with your recommendation and invest in a Maxibright ballast.Thanks Hotshot for that suggestion of yours.I would dearly love to have a larger tent,but to cut a long story short,I,m confined to my little tent for the time being.Keeps both me and the wife happy mate.On to the new reflector next!

Sorry for replying to my own thread,but I didn,t want to start another.MC,I didn,t realize what super lumens meant until I had a look around the ballast market.I looked at the Maxibright range,but their 250 ballast isnt dimmable,and I,m now drawn towards a Lumatek model.I need to ask if I can dim the lamp down(250w dual spec HPS),or will I need to run my existing 150w dual spec if I dial the ballast down.The reason I thought about buying another Maxibright ballast was because i,ve been really impressed with the 150w version I,m currently using.Also would love to know any thoughts or opinions on what reflector to use in my little space.?
