    Default Best, quietest, extraction fan.

Trying to upgrade to quietest extraction fan available for my soon to be modified secret groom, I'm making the room from 30" wide to 40" wide and adding a full size door instead of the access trapdoor.

I run a ten inch super silent fan and you no hear it . It's above my bedroom and if anything stopped the wife from sleeping I'd know about it in fact the whole world would know about it . It's a hamster wheel type fan which is in a galvanised metal box with insulation 👍

Also the quitest fans are silent hyper fan, big rvk, td silent and the gekko and tornado box fans.

The box fans are the quitest but have the largest drop in airflow.

Both the td silent and hyper fan drop nearny half there rated airflow also.

I can't remember the exact make I've had it over ten years I'm sure it was a German made fan. This thing pulls my door shut with a slam under the negative pressure. Once a year I check it for movement around the bearings and I've had it balanced once after it had a fall . If the fan is balanced and the bearings are good it should be silent other than the noise made by the movement of air and I also run acoustic ducting with a baffle which helps reduce noise no end
