Default Quieter Fan Inside Cardboard Box

    Hello

I have seen lots of suggestions on putting your fan into a cardboard box and then filling with blankets, sheets, cushions etc.

I now have my fan in a big box and would like to quieten the fan noise down further by doing the above.

I am worried that this is a potential fire hazard though.... Have I anything to worry about?

Think about how a fan works, it is cooled by the air going through it, it doesn't rely on the outside temps

Need to do the same. It's no so much that the Rhino fan is noisy, but connected directly to the filter, it causes quite a bit of noise hearing the air move around through thr filter to the fan alot.

Oversize your filter. I had to recently go back to using a 6inch filter on a 6inch fan. From a 8inch filter. I can deffo tell the difference in noise.

Great advice, it's surprising how much noise that cuts out😁

you can use a bigger fan and reduce the speed with fan controller.. Alsoaccostic ducting works brilliantly too..
