    Looking at the Systemair website:

    RVK 8 A1 42 DB 750 m3 / hr
    RVK 8 L1 44.9 DB 950 m3 / hr
    RVK 10 A1 39.7 DB 760 m3 / hr
    RVK 10 L1 41.9 DB 1080 m3 / hr

Would 10" L1 not be overkill for 2x 600w though, bearing in mind I never ran my 6" A1 at more than 40-60% which would be 172-258 m3/hr.

That was with a 4 meter run of ducting between the filter and fan too, this time I should be using around 1.5 meters so should improve efficiency somewhat.

Say if adding another 600w doubles the heat, I'd require double the airflow which is 344-516 m3/hr?

Or is that the wrong way of looking at things?

Looking through older posts it seems 8" A1 should be sufficient. I might go with 10" A1 as it's slightly quieter however I'd then be paying more for a filter and I might run into problems running the larger ducting through the space I have.

I've used a calculator and it comes up as minimum requirement for exchanging airflow every 3 minutes is 287m3/ hr taking into account filter and ducting.

At the mo I have 1600 watts running on 8" A rvk out ( 750 m3/hr) and 6" L intake (660m3/hr) and it is just coping.
running the same just with a 8"rvk out take and a rhino on a controller and using passive for now no probs my end . and ive got 2 600w and a 2.4 m tent
I think I'll get a dimmable ballast for the second 600w I'm planning on adding so I can always drop down to 400w on really hot days if I'm struggling.

I wouldn't worry about the noise too much from the fan as they are generally low. It's the sound at which they pump air that is loud af. My 5" is connected directly to my filter and it causes quite a bit of noise to come out the filter due to all that suction etc.

If you use a bigger fan, and work it off a controller, the fan will be running slower, so will not be full pelt, and will be quieter.
I know it costs a fair bit more for the filter, but its worth it for the security/ noise.
the 10 inch A1 doesn't draw any more air than the 8 incher, well 10 cfm which is fuck all in the rea;l world

knowing what I know now, bigger is always better. I had to turn my lights down to 400w for a few weeks mid grow last summer, cos my 8 inch A1 couldn't cope with the temps, and I had a shit return, yield wise, so its not worth skimping on, trust me!

Go for the L1 and thank me later
