Default New Grow - New light? Maxibright?

    Hi tokers

I'm already planning my next grow and I've seen lots of advise about trying HPS lights. I'm currently using a 300watt Bestva LED light in my grow cabinet (picture below).
I was thinking about trying a 250W HPS for my next grow and have found a Maxibright Digilight and was wondering if anyone new this make of ballast and any experiences.
I think I have my temps and extract under control so I'm going to give it a try. I would need to mount the ballast within the cabinet though and and not sure how much extra heat it kicks out.
Any advice would be great. Cheers

If it were me, I would look for a 250w that is dimmable... just in case you struggle with heat, as you could turn it down

Thanks M_C. I was looking at dimmable ballasts but I didn't see anything that went below 250. Do you have any ideas?
Also is the bulb dimmable as well, or do you swap out the build with a lower power one?

    Thanks hombre

If funds will stretch, look at the Lumatek 250w digital/dimmable ballast, it will run at 150w/175w/250w & Super Lumen (approx 275w)

    Hi EuroRapido

i have a lumatek 250 dimmable and very happy with it
it runs quiet cool compered to other ballasts on 250 settings..
if space is an issue it might be worth looking at the dimensions of both ballasts
    the lumatek is quite compact..
my locale hydro shop sells them for 72 quid or 92 for a kit
they also sell sumaster 150w duel spec bulbs..
love the look of your stealth box.. given me a few ideas to help a mate..

Thanks pal. Useful info there. So far I've found the lumatek 250 at about £90. I'll keep looking.
My diary describes the stealth cabinet and what's gone into it. Happy to answer any questions if you like.

    Cheers.
