    Default Drying advise

Hey guys. Started drying my 'think different' buds but I've noticed over the last day or two they are turning a little on the brown side! Is this normal or could it be mould? I've attached a few pics - any advise would be great. Newbie here also, just to let you know this was a greenhouse grow.

That looks like very nice product. I always dry in dark and keep an eye on temps and humidity. I usually hang upside down for roughly 5 days, then cure in jars. If something is wrong it will start to smell bad.

Only thing is the humidity level under the stairs is currently at 68-70% worth me putting a dehumidifier to bring it down? Got a fan circulating the air too!

I'd say you want too keep temp at 65-75f and humidity stays under 50-55%. Also a little air movement but not directly on product, also keep in dark with an air exchange few times a day. Hope helps.

Not sure thats a dehumidifier mate, least doesnt look like the ones Ive had. While your humidity is a little high it will still dry ok just slower and you have to burp your jars for longer in curing. I get high RH here as well I find putting it in a brown paper bag with a little rice can help .

They look good to me, some strains have a bit of brown in them, whereas some have purples, golds, orange, etc.

But definitely dry in the dark, as growing in light degrades the THC and will make your bud less potent.

And a dehumidifer will definitely make a difference, I keep my RH a bit higher first couple of days so they don't dry out too quick.

There's a very good write up on the Dinafem website on how to dry and cure you cannabis properly. Quicker dry will reduce the final quality of the bud.

My lot just came down yesterday after nigh on 11 days drying.

    3 days at 21c
    2 days at 20c
    3 days at 19c
    3 days at 18c

My room is pretty well dialed in though and it's all controlled down to 1c with the fan controller.

The smaller stems just snap now and the bud all has a lovely consistency.

Put away in air tight tubs now and this morning humidity was 58% which TBH I find perfect, 62% is still too wet for me.

It will get aired/burped twice a day for next couple of weeks. The smell will get stronger and the taste will amplify with the longer its cured for.
