P.s. Re the RCD, any half new breaker board would already have one fitted.

also yeaa i would use the connector for the heater rather than wire it direct in to controller, have look at that pic on diary. if you want i can take pic of the heater later.
Hey joker I'm halfway through rigging up the controller now,if it's not too much trouble and you get a chance could you show me how you've rigged the heater up please? Just so I've got a better idea.many thanks for your help mate

Ohms law to decide on amps . Watts divided by voltage 1000w /240v = 4.166

and heater depending what heat you got with i used 1mm 3 core cable ( heater i have for mine was 12quid b and q one, has 1000w and 2000w setting, i leave it on 1000w i only use this for winter, its unplugged at min with warmer night temps )

the cable sizes are little over kill if am honest but i prefer it that way fans dont even draw half an amp so you could use much smaller cable
I wouldn't call that cable over kill, personally I'd run 2.5mm 3core for the mains and heater, that heater will pull loads of power. Don't get me wrong, 1.5mm is adequate, but you know me mate, If I'm gonna do it, I'm gonna over do it. 😂😂
