Staged harvesting?

Hi

Searched here & Youtube but not found too much info on this.

Outdoor polytunnel grow, 7 auto plants - I'm a couple of weeks off harvest but it is clear that some buds will be ready when others could in theory go for another week or so. Is staged harvesting a good idea or are there issues?

It's a good idea. Don't want to be picking premature buds.

For example if you're taking off the main cola it may not be as stressful to the plant than if you were to butcher her and leave 2 or 3 nugs on.

I've done this successfully as have many others l. However it is seldom as most are ready at the same time. If you have even light cover and enough penetration to lower buds you shouldn't have this issue man.

I just did this with my last grow, pulled it down slowly over 2/3 weeks.
I think the lower growth benefitted from it, it felt and looked better for it, I noticed no ill effects to be honest, no hermies or anything.

Plus it was nice not doing it all at once.

Done it a couple of times and never had a issues myself. Last grow took all took stuff at ten weeks and left lower stuff till 12 weeks. The lower stuff I kept in there own jars and it's actually rocket fuel

Thanks everyone. That helps - will see how they mature over the next 2 weeks but I'm sure I can maximise yield doing this
