Unhappy Intake fan vs extractor fan

Hi all have recently set a new tent up only this time im going to be using a direct fan intake rather than pasive

    I have a 8" rvk fan extracting pulling (1008m3/hr)
With 8" rhino pro carbon filter 800m3/hr

I think this is right as the filter is lower than the fan right?

My problem is what fan will i use to drag my cool air in
Does it need to match my 8" or should my intake be less than my extraction

Your filter should be highly rated than your fan
Intake fan should by less powerful than extraction fan because you need negative pressure in the tent, which means that you're extracting more than what's coming in.

Ten inch filter to eight inch extraction fan and 6 inch intake just like bulls says negative pressure is a must to prevent smell leaks. Bigger filter helps the fan rum more efficient

    Right thanks for info

Ive had a think and im just gonna use passive intake from a cool room next door to the grow

Should i use a 6" ducting for passive intake?

I have put a 4" on there for now and still have a shed load ov neg pressure in tent

See how it goes with passive intake and if needed add a fan.

Having a nightmare with it at the moment ive got a 4" rvk pulling air from the eves in the loft

And a 6" passive running duct to gap under door of the room

With both lights on 600w the temp is 32 degrees still have negative pressure but slightly less when fitted the 6" passive
