Default 11L square pots verve soil watering/feed

    Hey guys/girls.

I am right in thinking 2ml per litre old-timers bloom and approx 20% run off right? plants have halted thinking its possibly build up of salts.

A quick flush and start again on half strength right?

Spot on there mate. Sure you are doing this in any case but just going to mention it for others that might read your post who do not know.

Make sure that your pot does drain correctly, flat bottomed pots do occasionally not drain fully due to the drainage holes being flush with the surface. If you look at Ironmans thread you see how he has lifted the bottoms from the drip tray with some bits of planking.

Sorry for the quick post after the last, I'm watering 2L each plant in the 11L pots is that about right, or would you suggest a bit more? I've mixed the verve with pearlite but for some reason things have halted, pretty sure it's a salt build up as I've not had it before. Had a few personal issues so heads been all over recently,

I'm pumping 3L through mine every 3 days at the moment in 10L pots, week 7 flower. They get pretty dry throughout on the 3rd day but they get watered again that evening.

2L in 11L pots sounds like you are getting no run off.... or watering sooner than they need...

Just get the runoff you need mate. 3l or so sounds about right.

Just make sure you water slowly letting all the medium soak it up.

Tip for any new growers reading.

Some people water too fast and where they run a wet/dry cycle the soil starts to pull slightly in from the sides of the pot. When watering too fast it runs down the sides of the pot appearing like good runoff, however the meduim isn't being fully saturated and it is a fresh feed that's leaking from the bottom.

To avoid salt buildup and refresh your medium it is important to water slowly and allow the medium to soak it all up

Yeah as above you wanting at least 3 ltrs that's wot I used to give.
Don't go mad with your flush either just add another 3-5 ltr ontop
Of wot your giving so say 8ltr all in.

I would always do this even if you have no problems at week 5 of flower
If photo and 6-7 if auto just to clear them out an prevent stall.
