    Default Plant Magic OldTimers range

    Hey guys.

So I've been fond of this range for a while and in the past it has performed really well.

Upon purchasing some more it seems that the formula has changed...

It appears a lot thinner than previous batches and looking at the ingredients the N has dropped by 1% in their bloom.

Upon doing a little research it turns out that since changing the formula some growers have had cal/mag issues during flowering. Digging a little deeper I have read a number of diaries that show issues in flower too.

So my question is this guys. Are any still fond of the oldtimers range? Have any of you experienced difficulties in flower since the forumala change and if so, which is the best preventative action?

    Any and all feedback appreciated.

    Hi mate,

I am yet to check my latest Bloom. I hadn't forgotten (for once) but couldn't find the original thread.

I use dolomite, so don't suffer with calmag issues, so I can't help on that.

I was recommended the bloom but my first impressions weren't very good when receiving it. Seemed really watered down to me. After suffering the same deficiencies I too did the research and found no end of complaints all relating to the same issues. At some point last year plant magic was taken over and the make up of the bloom was changed.

The reduced N isn't such a bad thing for a bloom nutrient it's the reduced secondary elements that's the issue with it, mostly magnesium. You may have noticed they've brought out a seperate oldtimers mag and incorporated it into the organic schedule to run alongside the bloom now.

    Ah the sneaky bastards!!

So they have removed some elements, packaged them seperatly so they can sell us 2 products! Cheers for the imput bro I'll consider getting their seperate mag or switching nutes all together.

Any recommendations? In the verve want as organic as possible.

I've dug out my bloom. It says 3-5-4

    Is that the new formula?

One healthy tablespoon of dolomite lime per 5 litres of verve. Mix well, moisten, leave for a month (or longer if possible) job done.

Should have done it this time tbh but don't usually have issues with the verve or OT.

Guess it's a learning for me
