    Default Can HPS lights charge solar powered devices?

    I ask because I have a handful of Raspberry Pi's lying around the house. I also have solar packs for them. Would be cool to attach some sensors to the GPIO's and connect to it via SSH over wireless and get accurate readings of the inside of grow rooms remotely: radiant temps, air temps, humidity etc. Effectively utilising any wasted light. Would be very cool to then map the data afterwards and do something fun with it.

    Would HPS lights charge solar devices or would I need 100 HPS's?

    I dont see why it wouldnt , leds may be a better option as it has more bands of light tbh , try

    I'm sure this has been tried with solar fans... and it didn't work

    Dunno about LEDs though...

    i can power my usb fans using a small solar panel (off an old waterbutt airpump gadget thing id bought off ebay),only tried this under the led panels though,but always worked fine and has saved me couple of times.
