Cfl vs hps

Hi all

So after a few grows I'm starting to try different methods of lighting.
Usually I go with 3 x 600w dual hps and get appx 3oz average results using soil and dutch pro system 4 wk veg 8 wk flower doing 18/6 12/12.

This time I have gone with 2 x hps blue spec for veg and 3 x hps red 600w again with dutch pro and started monitoring ec and ph levels.

Has anybody tried this configuration before and what's the best solution if this does not work.
I've heard of so many people talking about 7 or 8 average but not quite sure how they do it.

Currently on critical kush week 2 veg.

Any help appreciated.

tbh a cfl is fine to root out a few cuttings and veg a plant slowly ..........i run hid + led i find the mix just rite for my groom its all trial and error though so crack on see what you get but under that much light 3 oz per plant seams dreadful imho i`d want 5 at least per plant if the rooms big enough duw duw 1800 watts i do hope ewe wear raybans bach.

Your post has confused me. What does the CFL mentioned in the title have to do with your current setup? People usualy use MH for veg then HPS for flower. In some cases, Dual Spec too.

3 x 600w and you get 3oz!

There is no comparison with cfl vs hps. Hps hands down but like mentioned above they good for early day seeds/cuts

starting a diary and stopping phing in soil immediatly is the best course of action

unsure why ec is involved at all in your soil grow?

1800w to make 3oz is barmy,im a low level grower and make 6-8 under 300w cmh,i can make 4oz of two plants under a 200w led.

Do you top and lst your plants? And how many plants do you do at time?

I'm guessing you mean 3 oz per plant an if your new to this and only vegging for 4 weeks from seed and also your in soil which is much slower than coco or hydro. ....then if you've got ten plants an ya get 3oz per plant 30oz isn't bad for you but you would get a similar result with just 2 x 600s anyway good luck

Sorry 10 plant's with 3oz average so 30oz yield.
Only 4 week veg from cuttings
All in a 2m x 2m tent
