[SOLVED] White stuff on some buds

Hi all,

My outdoor bagseed sativa that is in it's 9th week of flowering and I'm determined to leave it as long as possible (yes, I'll get the right seeds next year!!) has developed a sort of powderery whiteness on some of the buds close to the stem. Doesn't look like budrot, and it's not THC frostiness. I'm just worried if it's something bad it might spread to the rest of the plant. Can anyone give me some suggestions, see pics...

close up pics below. There's only a couple of small popcorn buds with it - should I go and chop em off? Been pretty wet and cold here past week or so. Cheers Robster

It's powdery mildwew mate, sorry but there's not very much you can do about it when in flower. It will infect the rest of the plant and any other plants in the same room. Once you have harvested make sure you dissinfect everything with a systemic fungicide, otherwise it will come back on your next grow.

Thanks Monty - It was an outdoor grow and the mildew is localised to one of the smaller branches which I've just chopped off. Hopefully the rest of the plant will be ok with correct drying and curing - any tips?

no worries mate. when i find mold, i chop the infected buds straight away.

if you dont want to;
i have heard that 1 part milk to 9 parts water will stop/slow mold. (if sprayed 2-3 times a week on the infected area)

Don't dry n cure. If you smoke it you will have serious repository problems.

If you're gonna use it make hash out of it in bubblebags.

Thanks Guys... I've separated the few infected buds off and going to hang and dry the rest in a cool dark and ventilated place which should stop any further spread... This is my first grow and it would such a shame if the whole plant was ruined!
