Well... exactly that.
In the midst of taking care of a ill individual and the pit of despair, I was reminded of a series of old Linus Tech Tips video that involved them hooking up 5 of their computers to water cooling, with the pipes plumbed into copper pipes that went around their office, and radiators hung out a window so their room/office doesn't get as hot.
Since they are in Vancouver and their climate is not too dissimilar to mine, so in other words, generally wet, summers can get pretty hot and winters can get snowy on occasions, heat is very much a commodity for a significant number of months. I had the wacky idea of using all that heat from my mining computer to heat a tent (or a grow space). So terms like "baking hot", "piping hot" will take on extra meanings.
The the pros are, that there is "free" heat and it gets recycled to heat a growing area for the winter months, and the fans on the radiator can help with air movement.
The cons are, mixing water with electronics, cost, maintenance.
So the next question is, how.
Any ideas?
Initial thoughts:
1. Tents are probably not a good idea unless there is a sock opening for the radiator and pipes.
2. How to mount the radiators?
3. Pressures/flow rate that the pump can put out - will lengths of pipes be an issue? A larger reservoir will just mean that more time is needed for the water to circulate through, right?
4. Is it all worth it?
