    Default Mixing LED and CFL?

    All,

When I went down the LED route (Bestva 300w UFO - delighted with it, btw) I was able to remove my dual spectrum CFL (not so pleased with it)

As the days get cooler, I was thinking about popping the CFL back into the tent as well as the LED for heat, if nothing else.

Obviously, it will add considerable light to the situation as well.

Any thoughts on mixing LED with CFL?

I've heard only good things. I can't say for sure but my plan was to veg under 300w led and flower under 2 300w led and 2 additional red cfl as supplementary lighting (as I've read it can be beneficial)

I'll be waiting on a pro response tho too

    Keep it green

More luxury. In can't be a bad thing. Besides less don't have full spectrum also they need red and blue during all stages but yeah you can boost some of the lighting to one side of the spectrum and it should have a positive result. Look into uv lights (reptile) it should be able to increase the thickness late bloom but that's getting into advanced and pushing for more crystals... Haven't personally done but there is info online under uvb lighting

Hmmm...I've wired it and turned it on for a quick experiment, but temps have already soared to 32C from a stable 23C ish. Can't see that it's going to work. I'm going to pop to the pub for an hour, let it all blow over and I'll take a view whence I'm back in my heiss.

Nah - ain't gonna work - temps pushed up to 35.1C.

Have to say, though, that in just 2 hours, she was looking far more vibrant.

I'm gonna keep it available for special occasions, Bar Mitzvahs and birthday parties.

Having said that, I think a few hours a day may be a good move. Timer added. 2 hours on and 1 off x6 in 18 hours. Will feedback. Over. <crrrrk>

    Parrots flying around?

A tribe cleaning garments at the water's edge?

    A giraffe nonchalantly grazing?
