So who here likes thier cars?
    Awaits GSXR's arrival lol

If you had to make a choice, which would you opt for?
    Power or Looks?

I go for power when I look for a car and then work on the appearance later.
I don't race round but I like to know it's there if I need it Plus that pin you to your seat feeling is always nice lol
At the moment, I'm at the limit of what I can afford to insure.
Started out with a 1.6 petrol when I first passed my test, but then a couple of months later, moved up to a 1.9TDi when I found I could insure it for a few quid more than the 1.6 petrol.

I wont be happy until I am in the posession of a V6 or V12
I really like the Golf V6 which is what I'm aiming for next.

Got my first years no claims so that took a nice £300 off the renewal this year.
Gone from paying around £700 to £400

I've heard people speak highly of the cupra R's.
Not actually tried one yet though.

My plan is, as I can afford it, each time the insurance drops, to up the engine capacity of my cars
Couldn't afford it this year, plus I wanted the insurance down a bit more first.
Don't mind paying around £400 for a while but not £700 lol.

So what would your ideal road car be then GM?

As an ex motorcyclist I have no interest in a cars 'power' - even the quickest ones

Consider that a Honda Fireblade does 0 - 60 in under 3 seconds. Find me a car that will do that & then I could easily get enthused

That said, I do prefer a car for handling - I have a 1.7 Puma that still thrills me with ability to stick to corners

how was the 335i mate? i had a wee play with one in my LCR and i was right on his back bumper until he cut across 3 lanes of motorway and up the slip road i can only assume he was a shite driver cos my leon was 253bhp with the 335i being 300 and only 200ish kilos heavier

i owned a rover 45 diesel for a while and it was a great car for long distances

    Looks for us every time.
When i was in my teens and 20's the most important thing was power, power and more power! - Now i'm all grown up i have different priorities...comfort and looks being the main two.
We now have a BMW 520i SE, full leather spec, more gadgets and gizmo's than Maplins, (some of which i'm still not sure what they do) , and most importantly, a fantastic drive.

yeah i generally go for power, but u gotta av the handling aswell,my first was a hyundai accent coupe si,only a 1.3 but cost me £1100 to insure on my first year of driving, couldnt get a powerfuller 1 due to insurance it did the job tho.currently i own a leon cupra(cost me less than half now to insure),chuffin love it,had it remapped a couple of month ago up to 207bhp an love it even more now lol.can also fit my kids in the back no probs, fast and practical.
