Sounds good to me that mate. Can you choose what size MH bulb to go for? 400w mh be plenty then 600w flower bulb.
As you dont wana be diming down MH bulbs.
I start my seeds under a T5 light then introduce the 250mh once they gota set of leaves or two. Then go up again lol got stacks bulbs me lol.
Yea you cud jus use the open reflector for now an then you might decide to buy cool tube later in flower,they only cheap anyway buddy
they are the bulbs that come with it.
thanks for the info, i thought i could just dim the mh bulb down.
i will have to buy a set of mh bulbs anyway then to put gradual light in there then...
does the price sound ok still even with the 600 mh buld that may never bet used ?
and ... can you put different size bulbs in that ballast, may sound a dumb question but i dont know lol

Sounds about right mate but if ya have good look through ebay never no might find it cheaper or weigh up cost of buyin it seperate.worth checkin if saves couple quid.
An ya probs be ok to bang the 600mh in matein mid veg if ya wana make the most of it. Always good to get ya bulbs stocked anyway
been reading you have to match the bulb to the ballast, so a 250 bulb would not go into a 600 ballast.
with a digi ballast though if you turn it down to 250 setting will it then take a 250 mh bulb...

Yea with mh bulbs i match it to the setting it be on IE;250w setting for 250w mh bulb. 400w settin 400w mh bulb.
But with the flower bulbs you can dim say 400w bulb to the 250w setting. You cud dim 600w flower bulb to 250w setting but i dont fink it good to dim a big bulb down to a low setting
The all above is based on a digital dimmable ballast mate.
Magnetic set watt ballasts you have to match the exact bulb to the ballast. So so you wud be buying multiple magnetic ballasts to run different bulbs.
