Air pot - is is worth drilling a load of holes in my container?

If used a few diff air pots over the years including a fabirc one also. The only gripe i have with them is you have to water slowish. Otherwise it will leak out of the sides. They are decent tho.

Its how you fill them mrnice mon. I never have water comin outsides of mine. You jus have take your time wen fillin them up working the media in to the holes real compact. Takes me at least 2 hours to fill 4 15litre airpots

Even if it did come out the sides, if you've got a Rhizo stand then it makes no difference as the run off will be caught anyway?

True mate but if it comes outsides then am wastin nutes an havin put more through to get the proper saturation of the coco to push those salts out.

so is this test gonna be with coco or soil? pity you can't grow an airpot, fabric pot and a normal pot....that would be a proper comparison...

generally speaking and judging from what people here are saying they aren't really much use at all...
