Default 200w CFL vs 140w LED

The LED is a good one....but is the CFL actually going to do a better job - especially for vegging?

    Thanks.

your right about hps but cooling is an issue.....my LED should be able to perform at an actual 300 watts....there are 5w LED's but they just run at 2.12 I found out - might try propping up the power in the future

    Nope, he ain't joking!

I would stick a 150w HPS against your LED or CFL & expect to out grow you with ease....

I was thinking of driving the LEDs at closer to the 5W in a Mars but then off course you we need a bigger heatsink and fan.

150W Cree COB Vs 150W HPS ? That's a different kettle of fish

God knows but 2 weeks ago these were fresh rooted cuttings in 2 inch pots they spent 10 days under 200 watts of LED in 1 litre pots and 2 days under the 400 watt HID in 6 litre pots

    LED brought them to this

2 days under the HID done this

    10 days flip

    Great googly moogly...
