Smile Auto and photo at the same time in hydro set up

Hi everyone I’ve read that I can start both an auto and a photo at the same time and just wait for the auto to finish, then switch the photo to 12/12. This makes more sense than what I was thinking of doing, I was going to start the photo and 8 weeks later start the auto. This idea came to me because they will share the same resorvoir and same nutrients. I am going to use the gh trio, so I thought it was more important to keep the plants on the nutrient schedule. I have a brummie bubbler hybrid, bubble and drip. The photo is kush #6 and the auto is compassion lime. So what is the best way to go about this? Start them both at the same time, use the flora series nutrient schedule (but divide the doses in half) let the auto finish and then switch to 12/12 with the photo? Is there not a way to have them finish together? Thank yall very much for your time, advice and help.

Sounds like a plan to me. Good luck, and start a diary so we all can follow along. Good luck and happy growing.

Hello mate , if you do them both together using the same res you will hit a point where the auto will start requiring bloom nutrients whereas the photo will still be in veg and requiring grow nutrients. Unless it's one lot of nutes all the way thru with gh trio? You could run both and hand water them after the auto changes on to bloom ?
An auto will benifit from as much light as you can throw at it where as the photo needs 12 hours to induce flowering. Will be a ball ache running the two types together I think. maybe better to run the autos to give you some quicker bud then take your time with the photos for a bigger haul might be completely wrong tho lol
All the best mate good luck
