    Default RDWC getting started help!

    Hey guys,

This is my first grow so I'm trying to learn everything I can. I chose to use Current Culture's RDWC 4 site system. I am following their recommendations for everything. I'm having a bit of trouble getting started. I've tried to get 2 sets of bare root clones started with little luck. I'm on my 3rd set that I got from a dispensary and they are in rock wool. I just transplanted about 24 hours ago and my plants are starting to look droopy. My water level is about 1" below the rock wool. I'll attach some pics. Any help would be great! here's my number for everything too.

They aren't touching the water. The roots are pretty short, I don't think I could get them to touch the water without the water coming into contact with the rock wool.

top feed them with water asap,
they will die unless they are watered until roots hit the water,

    Hey man,
Current culture recommends starting them at 6.3. But I'll trying bringing them down to 6.2. I do have 1 air rope at the bottom of each site (these came with the system)
The ppm of my source RO water is around 40 on 700 scale (not 100% sure what that is in EC).
I'll top feed them like monsterEnergy said, Should I be worried about getting any of the rock wool into the system doing that? I know CC said not to let the water touch the rock wool to keep any pieces of it getting into the system.

the literature does say :- The usual range (5.5 - 6.5) for pH is fine. 6.0-6.3 is optimal for vegetative growth, and 5.6-5.9 for flowering,
i hope you have them watered?

So I'm good on the ph. cool.

I had not watered them at all. I was a bit fearful that I would get pieces of the rockwool into the system by doing that. I also thought that sitting less than 1" away from the top of my water level they would have enough water from there. Obviously I was wrong. I just top fed them right now. Thank for your help guys!

if you don't water them, they will die mate,
only top feed until the roots hit the water then your system will do as it should
that should only be a few days,

rockwool won't break up and block anything,

sorry but you come here for advice so listen to the guys here,
first drop that ph, set it to around 5.8 and let it rise slowly
before putting in your system you should have atleast dipped your plants/rockwool in a solution of weak nutrients at a good ph level, i would advise around 5.8.
they will dry out fast at that size depending on rockwool size?
ph isnt what is causing you issues but would be good practice to drop it, your ph meter could be out and it could be higher than you think???
just a factor you need to add
    are your meters calibrated perfectly?
IMO they should have a very good root mass looking at the size of them / but they could have been taken as big cuttings
you dont want to soak as it makes roots lazy but need to give enough water to keep hydrated

sorry to sound harsh but you are getting good advice here for growing bud not peppers ect...
advice here would be much better then cc, because im guessing they wouldnt be very helpfull if you told them you were growing weed
