Default Correct RH for the buds when they are dry...

Heres a thought..(i have been doing it for a while already, 20 years or so), but bear with me...

Do you consider the RH of your buds to smoke? The optimal RH for sticky to burn is supposed to be either 57% or 65 i think, without checking. You can even buy moisture pads for your jars to make sure its all correct...

To be honest its far easier than all of that and far cheaper and really quite accurate to get it right...you take your RH meter and you walk around your house until you find the space with the rright RH you want. Dry your plant there. Ive found that a quick blast dry to take the wet out, which for me is 24 hours on the line in my flower room, I then strip the stalks of the buds and they go into heavy duty paper bags, like the brown take away bags with handles, the bags get disturbed every day (gently) and the air refreshed... after 5-8 or 9 days max the buds are dry and dried at the right RH, they can then go into the jar to cure and burp. Crucially they finish drying in the dark, significantly reducing thc degradation before you even maul it into your bowl/joint...

Just thought Id share that. Most folk just take their buds when they think they're properly dry, when its too dry the THC/oils etc burn off too quick and too hot, too wet, and you dont even get to decarboxilate the THC properly, so the right moisture content is actually critical to the best experience from your weed.

Each terpene/flavonid compound has its own boiling point so with the right RH, not only will the bud burn at most of the right temps on the way up get ALL , or as many of the terps/flavs as possible...it will also preserve as many flavours within the trichs for said combustion...

The curing, and the condition of your buds for that curing, is of the utmost importance when it comes to getting what it says on the back of your pack, but it also seems to be a largely overlooked part of the finishing up process.
