Hi folks,
I have started my first grow and 1 1/2 days ago did my first trim of the four to start manifolding. They seem to have recovered well. there is some flattening and browing of the leaves on two of the plants (worst one is shown individually), but I already made a bunch of mistakes and am adjusting. My only way of checking how they are doing is by looking to posts from others at same age, and they seem pretty decent. I think i had light too low (16 inches, but raised it right after manifolding (3 days ago) since the leaf flattening seemed to match with some web-sites as LED light burn).
Info as follows:
- 4 plants all at same age. started from seed White Rhino, Cinderella 99, Blueberry, Critical Widow
- Plants are in Sohum living soil, that is supposed to be suitable for full grow cycle without feeding.
- photos are around first trim for manifolding after 22 days (3 days after repotting)
- first 13 days were pretty much unmonitored for conditions, so I think i got lucky as still look mostly okay to me
- 13 days after planting seedlings, adjusted water PH to 6.5, temperature to 73F, humidity now up to 65% pretty much all controlled
- lower leaves were flattening and seemed like veins a little heavy. new growth looks good to me
plant age: 3 1/2 weeks from putting germinated seeds in soil
pot size: 3 gallon fabric style sitting on top of base with golf balls - makes turning as easy as a lazy susan
has it been repotted? Yes, repotted after 18 days from 6 inch pots. at that age there were not too many roots reaching the edge of pot
soil type: Sohum liviing soil (pricey stuff). have about 1 1/2 inch of coco at bottom for drainage aid
nutes or additives used and how often for soil: none, hopefully at all if living soil works as reported from others
Air temps (max min): pretty constant at 73F. first 2 weeks were around 65 F (oops!). am just now raising to around 70 based on advice
Res temps (max min)
humidity: around 65% pretty constantly since heater added. sometimes to 75%. Trying to find a maximum recommended, i have a humidity controller I can set the exhaust fan on
lighting type LED bought second hand with tent. No brand name. Looks like a knockoff of the Mars Hydro version. Has 100 of 3 W bulbs, and has a switch for flowering which adds red
ph level: water is set at 6.5 . for first two weeks was not checked and was over 7.5 (oops!)
EC (hydro and coco only) ???
Background EC. ?????
feed schedule and nutes - none yet, hopefully at all
Please see last pic of single plant. I think the leaves remaining were started when i wasnt monitoring anything, so hopefully new growth will just be okay and i will fine-tune. New growth really looks nice (again - to me).
Okay. still having trouble with getting photos. am posting so I dont have to do this again and when i figur out photos i will post them. they are in my gallery, in case anyone is willing to look there. Cheers all.
