They dont build resistance as quickly as mites but they can build resistance, thats another reason im against constant spraying of anything. Sure you will have em feked soon enough brother. I was given some Marigold seedlings a few months back put them around for a bit of colour. Seems the thrips dont mind them either lol. I hear alot of tales about Marigolds keeping the insects away, never had much faith in that, but seems they could be used as a sacrificial crop.

I think I’m clear, the plants have taken a beating though and it’s held them back a bit with all the fucking oils and shit so I’ll get a few teas done over the next week or so.
I did foliar feed a compost tea and that fucked em up good for a day of so lol(the plants I’m talking about)
It’ll be bsck to the regular ipm now coz I ain’t doing this shit again.
I’m desperate to find Karanja oil here I’ve looked fucking high and low and Amazon was 22 p&palone ffs

Yeah too much oils can really hold back your vigour mate, clogging up your stomata. There is a lot to be said about a true IPM programme mate lol. (dig dig)

Hahha, never had much of an issue with ants in the garden if watering is kept regular, they move in if it gets a bit dry lol. Have plenty of ants living inside the house with me, great little cleaners are the ants, collecting crumbs and shite from places you cant get to with a hoover. Had a scheduled pest control the other week which I went to great lengths to have cancelled. Of course some one got their shite wrong and they came while i was at work any way. I was fuming mate, spraying those poisons and powders in the house killing all the insects that co exist with me.

The cindy and the critical look like there coming out the mutant stage, it must of been the spraying and the bugs sucking them when they were seedlings, I’m pretty sure they come from my worm castings. I can see fungus gnats now too
    Blessings to you and yours

What are you cover cropping with and what kind of biochar have you got in your mix? Particle size etcetera.

You know you can recycle your charcoal filter material as biochar as well I assume? It is basically the same the only difference being that activated charcoal has been blasted open with steam or opened up with an acid for a higher adsorption.

You should also be able to do it the other way around, use biochar as filter medium but I haven't done that myself yet so can't say too much about that just yet.
