Default White paint vs reflective bubble wrap?

I had a load of spare reflective bubble wrap https://www.homebase.co.uk/thermawra...p-7-5m_p127033 after sorting out my loft so I decided to fit a layer to the inside of my loft grow room to help with temp control and light reflection.
I'm now reading it may not be so great at reflecting light so I'm looking at other options.
Has anyone used this successfully for inside their grow room and if so what were results like, alternatively is it worth spraying the inside with a matt white paint?
It is kind of bright in the grow room but for the sake of a few tins of spray paint I'd rather make it a better job if there's going to be a noticeable difference in performance.

    Cheers.
    Let's get it on!

From what I under stand, any white paint or any other color paint will reflect light, with the exception of Black paint. Now with that being said, your most reflected light would be Gloss White, but you don't want that because it does such a good job, it could have hot spots, the reason for using a much less reflected paint, such as flat matt, as to avored the hotter spots. You can google why Flat White as oppose to Gloss white, and read up on it.

I believe gloss actually absorbs some light on entry as well as after reflecting like glass on a mirror. Also if it's not perfectly flat you'll have light refracting which creates the hot/cold spots.

That's my understanding of why we go flat white

I currently have double foil bubble insulation in my new DIY grow box. It's there for insulation purposes for me an has worked really well at that.

Can't say if it's better or not than flat white paint having not used it but ive heard paint is effective

The foil is kind of matte and they reckon if you were to use foil, the dull side is better than the shiny as hotshot says

That's right not much difference, just about 5% For White Matt is 90% reflected.

Thanks fellas, on point as usual.
Btw, isn't flat paint just the term Americans use for matt paint?

Here is what I use. Do not let the paint guy add any paint to it, it is just right like it is. He will want to add some black to make it white, but it is flat and white enough just like it is. 90% reflected. The spelling on the paint can is Flat Mate. I call it flat Matt for some reason.
