    Default A Question of Lighting

Went to my local hydro shop today to get a new HPS dual spectrum lamp to replace my old one. They didn't have what I wanted but he gave me two lamps for free. Nice Man

One is a MH which is of no real use to me at the moment but the second one could be. He gave me an Omega Super HPS 400W. I could potentially pair this with a 200W CFL Blue spectrum lamp I have sitting in the shed.

My question is would it be worth doing this or just stick to the dual spectrum HPS?

Hi mate, is the 400w hps red spectrum or duel?

Either way your better off getting a 600w duel spec. CFL if you have no other option tho.

    The 400w HPS is red

I wouldn't pair it with a CFL, they'll both require different distances from the plant which will prove awkward
