If you haven't got anything else to start them off in, then fair enough, use the can until you need to pot up. You can still use the soil in other containers to start them off with. Does the can have holes in? If not, then use something else.

Chillis are simple & fun to grow. Ghost Chillis? All I know about them is what was stated on the pack I bought...

They are as easy as other chillies. I've grown in both coir and soil. I prefer soil as I don't have to water every day.
