Do you ever have root health issues
What colour when hung
Ever had them fall over or be stunted
Just trying to deduce if what ive read re root health is bull or not

What do you mean what colour when hung?

No they never fell over or anything like that, I switched to 20/4 when they went in their final pot about 4 weeks in, giving them 3 weeks with a short dark period. Can't say I noticed a difference for changing the light hours but I was told I was doing it wrong so I changed.

For me it's just easier to have the light on constant in my small veg tent, otherwise I needed a larger extension cable to fit in a timer and it works fine like it is.

I’m another for 24-0 never have any issues and having lights on 24-7 helps keep temps in check these have never seen dark and are nearly 4 weeks from seed under 96w t5 but I guess it’s all down to preference

Because the light is only on for 13 hours per day instead of 18 -24 So they don’t dry out as much

What colour when hung im guessing but its looks like you could do with getting yourself a loupe off the bay,or if near a pc etc a usb microscope is even better.
best to get it early than rush buy it when time comes .

as an aside with my autos i do 20/4 unless its very cold in which case i go 24/7,i do think plants benefit from a small rest and some strains even seem to slowdown using 24/7,but again i only know autos.

leds are fine,i started out with some great panels and my autos grew happily under them,tis a sharp learning curve mind and its easy to bleach n burn or even cook to dust under some models.

just go with what you can afford,keep everything as simple as fk n youll be ok.
