Pike Boy and Hash - she seems incredibly easy to grow as it stands.

My last plant hermied, so the stress on this one is far less. All I've done is put an anchor in place at about 2 weeks of veg and then brought the top down and grown the subsequent growth tips back across the pot to try to create a round bush (Happy Valentine's Day). There's been a tiny bit of defoliation, but nothing to speak of. She has not been topped, either.

She's a dense and short strain that appears to react well to LST. The stem is a beast and the growth tips also appear quite sturdy, so if you are going to LST, start early. (I almost think it wasn't necessary to LST the main stem down at all - she's that short)

My watering is very relaxed...the pot is often bone dry and light as a feather for a day or so and she still shows no signs of being thirsty.

I've only fed a very weak (1/4 of the recommended strength) veg solution once in the first 6 weeks of veg.

As GMO pointed out, she looks almost too dark green, but that's a trait, I believe.

Tomorrow is the 6th week of veg and I'll post some pics then. I'm also going to flip the lights tomorrow, too, so you join on the home run.

If I can think of anything else relevant to this strain, I'll bang it up.

I'm having to start growing in a small space as I have moved house and space is at a premium! Looking at 8 ball Kush it is very short, so I'm torn between 1/2 plants LST with a longer veg or 4 plants with a short veg.

It will be interesting seeing what height yours finishes at, it will help me decide between which method.

How tall is it now out of interest?

    Pikey,

This has to be one of the best strains I've seen for those with height issies. With hindsight, as I think I said before, it's debateable as to whether she even needed to be LST'd.

She has, though, and you'll see the height in the next few pics.

If she'd grown vertically, by the end of the 6th week of veg, under my 300w LED, she'd still only be approx 30cm tall. HOWEVER, that's a complete guess as she was pulled down and the stem is virtually horizontal to the soil. This would affect the height without the LST, I'm certain.

Also, today is the flip, so she will stretch for the next couple of weeks, but I'm not expacting much other than the ability to pull the growth tips a bit further apart - a time when stretch is your friend.

    Pics coming now:

It's looking good! See your point about if it needed lst or not. It's a hard call but impossible to know until you try.

You have a nice amount of bud sites and nice and level.

First week of 12/12 and it stinks.

No need for pics in the 2 week 'HI-atus', but should be interesting next Thursday.

Still only ever one very weak feed during veg...which, technically, is 7 weeks now.

Hello mate, thought I'd pop in. From my experience with the 8 ball you are bang on track mate, she looks tip top and her colour is exactly the same as mine was. The stretch is moderate and the nugs at the end are fantastic. Great grow so far mate, keep it up.
