    Thumbs up Canna coco

Hey folks, I want to start growing in coco but in my reading I’ve noticed some old posts about canna coco coming with bugs in it (root aphids and gnats), has anyone experienced this recently? I’m hoping canna fixed the problem or someone can help me decide on another brand of coco if it’s still a problem with the canna coco.

I use Canna coco and nutes and I've not heard of that.

I wonder if there are particular suppliers not storing them correctly (say in damp places with uncared for plants nearby)

Yeah that does make sense you could be spot on there I never even considered that possibility! I’ve used other canna products and never had an issue so I suspect you’re right, thanks good to hear from someone that uses there product

Canna coco is very clean from the bag, springtails can be common but other than that you should be ok. If buying from an hydroshop get it from a busy place that shifts pallet loads weekly, by doing so you know it's fresh.

Friends are great, but you don't want stuff that's hung around the place for ages either....

Yeah he’s good for giving me discounts but I’m concerned that it won’t be that fresh.

Buy the pro plus it contains thricoderma gets the plants off to a good start...I’ve had a few fungus gnats emerge but easy enough to control, a small inconvenience for a great product...

Thanks bud I wasn’t sure which bag to go for but I didn’t realise there was thricoderma in the pro. I’ve never had fungus gnats or any other bug in the whole 9 years I’ve been growing that’s partly why I was concerned about the bugs I’ve no idea really how to deal with them but I’m sure I’ll learn one day.
