Default Crystals early on in grow?

This is my 4th grow so I've got a bit of experience but my last grows have been low yield due to lighting/temp issues. I've since moved from a tent in my bedroom to a room under my stairs and temps are now near on perfect.

I'm almost 3 weeks in to this grow and have noticed I'm already getting crystals on the fan leaves. I did have a slight issue with lighting last weekend that gave the plants less than 18hrs but nowhere near the flowering cycle of 12hrs.

I'm just wondering is this normal? Maybe I just didn't notice on my last few grows. Hope I haven't messed up?

Their shouldn't be any trichs showing during veg. Get a loupe and see what kind of an infestation you may have.

I'm really unsure but looks like (although small) trichs to me?

EDIT: It seems THCTalk resizes uploaded images, the original image is much better. Hope you can see what I mean from the posted image.

not a great pic tbh but long as youre sure shes not an auto, then perhaps powdery mildew?,but saying that it seems too even for that, think thats more patchy(never had it myself so just a stab in the dark).

have you strain suppliers pictures ?,perhaps its a plant that has velvety leaves as normal.

I looked at them under my 1000x usb microscope and pretty sure it's just the texture of the leaves. You're right joker.. proper newbie lol

Without sounding like a fool here because I want to read the whole book again and it was only something that made me think here but why wouldn’t a plant throw out trichomes so early in its life after all they are part of a self defence mechanism against pest, so without blowing it off I’d read more into it myself, take the tomatoe plant they throw out trichomes at all stages to protect thereselves. Or if I’m sounding like I lost the plot just ban me now pmsl
