Hi all,
I have a total noob question that is driving me nuts.
I literally can't figure out how to hang a ruck fan from the top of a small 1mx1m tent.
There's three support bars, one going left to right, two front to back, or whatever.
I used the black straps with the carb filter, to hang it from a single support bar.
Now if you look at the shape of 5" ruck fan, there's literally nothing about it's shape that lets you put a strap around it and hang it!
Ive looked at pictures and videos - most show the fan and filter connected to each other by a wide clamp, and the area where they connect seems to be where people put the hanging strap. But I dont have this clamp, I'm connecting the two with a short length of ducting.
I have put the metal mounting bracket thingy onto the fan. This still cant be hung from a single bar like the filter is, and if I used two bars for it, then 1. It wont be in line with the filter, if you can imagine, it would be off to one side. 2. Both support bars would be on one side of the tent which seems wrong. 3. I briefly tested this (without securely tying) and the two support bars slid away from each other and the fan fell.
So while it seemed like it would be simple at first, and i'm not a stupid person.. it seems to be impossible to hang the fan using the fan/filter kit i've been sent.
Hope this makes sense and can be visualised without pictures. Look at the ruck fan and you can see theres nowhere to put hanging straps around it to hang from the same pole as the filter.
Advice appreciated, thanks
