Default Should I Flush a organic Soil Grow??

    Hi Guys!

Just coming to the end now of my soil grow, Ive been using the oldtimers nutrient range, including their organic additives and i've also fed blackstrap molasses along side. The soil mix contains eco charge and great white mycorrhizal . (Unsure if the latter is relevant)

So, would it be best to flush before harvest? If so, how long for please?

I've seen a lot of mixed info in regards to flushing organic soil grows, some saying you should and others saying there is no need. So unsure of what do at the minute.

    Cheers for your time!!

just give em water for a week or so, until they start to yellow,

in coco/hydro it's all chemical/salt feeds and they need flushed out,
in organic they aren't chemical feeds so no real salts to be removed from the medium

    just my 2p

That would better the taste. But it is not as important as when you grow using mineral feed.

In soil there’s no need to flush.what you can do is drop any nutes for the last 7-10 days and just give plain water 😊

I stop giving them anything for the last 5-7 days. I see no point in watering them, just to cut them down to dry out.

Flush or not to flush the debate, run just water for the last 2wks allowing the plant to basically eat up any stored nutes in water leaves etc, she will start fading out the green colour, also when you think she ready for chop pull a fan leaf of and taste the watery stuff if taste clean you are good to go

Is it worth flushing if your going to be re using the soil? Just wondering if flushing damages your micro's

There is really no need to flush, if you are using Trace Minerals. I have flush and not flush, and there was no difference in taste, way the weed burn, they were both smooth.

Surely not giving any nutes and just plain water for the last 2 weeks is flushing imo, just saying.

Yer man I agree with this g, just don’t give them any more food near the end, and let the plant eat what’s in the medium and it’s self.

My last grow i just gave plain water the last week before chop mate. It was a banging smoke. Was grown with canna bio flores. Never seen the need for a proper flush with organics just my opinion though lol.

Look at it this way, how do you flush a ganja plant that grows in the wild? There is always debate about the flush. The most important thing is not to dry too quickly so what ever food is left in the plant has time to be broken down. Once the plant is dry, and there is no moisture, whatever isn’t broken down will stay in the plant, and give you a harsher smoke. Just give no food the last week or two, and leave to hang for seven to ten days.

Been caught out with quick dry before, my circulation fan half fell and ended up pointing directly at the buds for a couple of days. The ones closest to it smoked alot harsher imo. Had that minty chlorophyll taste to it but the farther buds were great.

A good cure works wonders either way its having the will power to keep my hand out the jar I lack lol.

Lol done that too, the tried wrapping it in foil and putting it in the oven, then a hair dryer, none of them worked as well as a ten day hang

If u are really in orgsnic soil like i am . Dont flush no need .plus i Replenish and recycle soil after . Gets better and better .

Flushin flushes all the goodies out of the soil . Just use water with minimal run off . Few drops runoff to make sure soil is drenched and away ya go
