Could it help speed up the process of the chlorophyll leaving the bud and start the drying process earlier.
I'm unsure but it makes sense to me as a plant needs light to live.

Ok im gonna chop tomorrow my coco 60/40 is almost dry would you water or leave it

i am pretty sure it was proven to be a waste of time. I remember reading an article where someone ran 2 clones side by side & gave one that dark time at the end & there was Zero difference between the 2.

it's after the dark the plant has used up it's stored sugars/starches, prolonging that leads to a better cleaner burn/bud,
some say they don't notice a difference others do, so....

the sugars/starches i mean are in the green foliage via photosynthesis rather than soil/medium,
after lights out the foliage is already needing more energy/food
but definitely flush the medium in coco,
only makes drying/curing that lil bit faster, but no great magic trick lol
