Wondering if anybody has any views on the 48hr dark period before the chop

I do 24hours. I don't know why or if it benefits or not but I've always done it 👍

Could it help speed up the process of the chlorophyll leaving the bud and start the drying process earlier.
I'm unsure but it makes sense to me as a plant needs light to live.

i am pretty sure it was proven to be a waste of time. I remember reading an article where someone ran 2 clones side by side & gave one that dark time at the end & there was Zero difference between the 2.

it's after the dark the plant has used up it's stored sugars/starches, prolonging that leads to a better cleaner burn/bud,
some say they don't notice a difference others do, so....

A proper flush, dry & cure does that every time.

the sugars/starches i mean are in the green foliage via photosynthesis rather than soil/medium,
after lights out the foliage is already needing more energy/food
but definitely flush the medium in coco,

only makes drying/curing that lil bit faster, but no great magic trick lol
