Default PH rising overnight every night?!

    Hi all
Just wanted to ask a bit of advice.

    I'm on my first Wilma grow.(big 4 50l).

Currently using fabric pots in the Wilma with Coco and clay pebble mix.
40 litres of water with Ionics grow nutrients, Dutch pro take root and pH down.
My tap water is 0.6 EC so I put enough ionics to bring up to 0.9-1.0 which it's staying close to.
My trouble is that I set the pH with pH down to 5.8 and by the next day it's up to 6.5-6.6??

So using a rather lot of pH down to keep it where it needs to be.

    Anyone experienced this before?

    Thanks Dave.

Doesn't help that your res is only 50L dude, the bugger the res the more stable it will stay.

And for some reason I only put 40 litres in it as I thought the water level came up to high?
    Probably don't help either

Have you got another tank to store your water before you mix the nutrients and introduce it to the system? You should let water rest in a sepearate tank for 24-48 hours with a pump keeping the water moving, this allows chemicals in the water to dissipate and this will change your PH. What’s your EC doing is that staying put or is that moving too?

The extra is pretty much staying where it is. May move a little but no where near as much as the ph

What stage of growth are you at mate? If you're in flower, this sort of makes sense. The ph changes as the good is being eaten, the ec isn't champing too much as you're washing out the old salts and replacing them with new ones.

I had this problem when I did DWC, in flower the ph would change a couple of times a day, and I'd have to constantly monitor it.

You’ll just have to keep it in check and make sure it does a full swing from 5.6 to 6.2 and the other way whatever way it’s swinging, a bigger tank would of helped but it’s only the plant feeding and changing ions in the water so nothing to worry about Sir!

Hello mate, is your water level falling while the ph is rising?
