    Default question on diming your lights!!!!

    hey guys i always start my girls in a separate tent under 100W of t5's and then after about month and hf or so i put them into my other tent under a 600W HPS but dialed down to 300W 50% my question is its been about 6 days now and they will be getting flipped to 12/12 in about another 6/7 days should i today dial it to 75% 450W and then at 12/12 turn to 600W or should i keep it at 300W till flip then switch to 600W at flip???thanks!!

    I suppose it depends on what you are trying to achieve... personally, once they go under HPS then I would have it dialed top the max...

    In my head, this is all wrong, with the dimming of a specific wattage bulb, the colour spectrum will be way out and useless to the plants. This is the reason they make 250w, 400w and 600w bulbs

    Bulbs are gas filled and this is what achieves the Kelvin rating, temperature of this gas. Less power, lower temperature, wrong spectrum...

    Go on, tell me you all do it...
