You can, but I wouldn't recommend it....!

Distillation involves removing impurities from water. Some of those 'impurities' are good for your plant. But each to their own I suppose. Personally, I fill 8 1 Gallon water bottles and let sit for 1 or 2 days(before watering) to let chlorine impurities disperse from tap water, then add nutes, pH down, etc etc. My girls seem to love it. As someone once said to me...'How would you like it if someone doused you in cold tap water'. Found that hilarious but also informative.

I have the cheap ph tester that you use the stripe tabs, and the ph reads 7. Is 7 ok or I need to get it down some?

If you are growing in soil then don't fuss about PH....

Depends what you're growing in mate. Some people argue that you dont really have to adjust pH for a soil grow. Growing in coco requires you to drop the pH down to 5.8. And dont use those cheap pH testers. You wont get an accurate reading. Get yourself on ebay and buy a pH pen. Costs around 4 quid. Will save you a lot of hassle in future grows.
