So im guessing with a wilma you are best to let the reservoir get really low near to the end of the week then, this way you are wasting less nutes?
One of the reasons i questioned the wilma was because of potentially wasted nutes when emptying the reservoir weekly

Tank size isn’t a problem. I’d still be attentive, adjust EC and ph as necessary, if just like to save some water and nutrients if I can. Over the course of a year if I only grew for 40 out of 52 I’d make a saving of upto £1800 on water alone. Not to forget the nutrients, which would work out approximately £1500 saving. £3300 potential saving a year is a big saving. This is top line but still it’d be at least £2k all in. Also having to do res changes half as much and doing my but for the world and being a bit more “green” is appealing

Well now you say it I’ve just redone the calculations......I’m so far off hahahaha. Thought that was a bit mental.

I’ve allowed 500l /week for my system, topping up res, opticlimate and humidifier. Water costs 1.70 / 1000l . Total assumed consumption based on 40 weeks is 20000 and the cost of that is £34!?! Hahaha how the fuck did I go so wrong 😂
