    Default Which extraction fan kit

    Hello newbie here AGAIN!! 🙃

Right I've got my groom, 1.2x1.2x2.3 hydolab.

Need advice on what fan kit I'm going to need for extraction. Was advised previously to go for an 8" set up which I've taken on board. Now just need to know which make would be best. And do I need a intake?

    Cheers in advance. 😇

Hi there. Noob here aswell. My tent is 1*1*2m, lights are 400w HPS and I went for 6" extractor, no intake fan, only the tent openings. So I believe you should be fine. I also use a fan for internal air movement.
If you see you can't control humidity and temperature correctly, you can add an intake fan later on.

    That's just my thinking.

It's from a local manufacturer of which I heard good things. But I live far south in the edge of the world, si that's all I could manage without having to pay 50% import taxes, 50dls shipping and waiting a month or more for ir to arrive (hopefully in good condition!!). So I took a special look at the wattage. It is 130w. And it has a dimmer to control speed. That's about it. Another advantage is I can name it myself lol

6'' Large pull 4x as much as you need in that space, 1.2×1.2×2 = 2.88 m3 they pull 760 m3 aan hour so

a good controller would also be needed even with a 6'', never mind 8''

unless you intend to upgrade your tent larger u are good

Massive kudos on finding a local company to make what you needed.

I was thinking about a 8 inch so I could turn down the fan so it wouldn't be as loud.
    Well that's the theory.

Thanks, I try to get the best at hand. The rest is on me taking good care of the plant I believe. So my bet is on learning the craft.

Iv the same tent mate. A hyperfan stealth only just fits with a filter. Well it actuallt hangs half out of the tent via the massive extraction whitch is what i love about this tent.
Its also 8inch with a 600mm rhino pro. Its ec so when you turn it down the electric use also goes down. If you have the cash spare i would opt for this. Or evan the stratos..... i havnt seen much on the stratos yet in terms of tests etc. If money doesnt permit then a low powerd 8" rvk will do without a controller(you will need alot of vent holes open though) . And a high powerd with a veriac.

Depends on the fan, some are more noisy when run at lower speeds due to imbalance or build quality. Better to get one with an external capacitor also as it will help fan startup when run at lower speeds
