Which bulbs and when

I have a digital ballast with the different wattage settings on it as normal, I'm wondering about what bulbs to use at the different stages of the grow, I currently only have a 600w hps maxbright.

In an ideal world you would have the correct bulb for every setting... but it's not an ideal world...

A 600w hps will dim to 400w.... but not 250w

With MH only use the correct wattage bulb

Ideally, a 600w HPS bulb for 600w setting, 400w bulb for 400w setting, 250w bulb for 250w setting... if your ballast goes below 250w then bulbs that match the wattage.

With respect I don't think your understanding what I'm asking, I'm wanting to know if there is any sequence of different types of bulb. i.e: 250 cfl seedling, then mh, then hps if you catch my drift or just 250 cfl then 600hps

No idea I grow autos, so it's full power from the start for me
