Default advanced soak for tough to start seeds?

bought from sensie seeds around 5yr ago kept in original vial with polystyrene... i think they may have gotten hot, i'm in uk.

tried 3 normal soak and they sunk after 7hr.
    1 i kept in rw
    1 i kept in water
and the last was put in soil they taken out still hard and placed in water, this guy became my test subject!

i soaked him for few more days check with hands he's still hard...must have got mixed with my viagra or something lol
anyway he's now got RIPPED open shell looks good but isnt sprouting i think i killed him but i'm still trying i've just probably killed it for the third time putting a drop of superthrive, silica, zyme, great white shark power all in a bowl of warm water and gave it that he's now in rw next to the first rw seed and that has the mix hitting the bottom of its rockwool cube the end

With older seeds it's often worth scuffing the seam of the seed case on sand paper first

Good advice! I've even cracked a seed that wouldn't pop before, squeezed it between finger and thumb till it cracked, and a few days after I had shoots. Sometimes, you just gotta be rough
