Default MH 600watt omega bulb silly question

    Hi,

I currently used a sunmaster HPS 600watt bulb for entire growth and have just got a MH omega 600watt bulb for veg. My query is when I tested the MH bulb the light was more white/blue as apposed to the bright yellow that the HPS bulb. Is this normal please?

mh bulbs are more suited for veg, which give off more blue spectrum, and flower hps is more of a red/orange

    in short, yes normal

should get a duel spectrum bulb, it has both blue/red spectrum in one bulb,
    so best of both worlds,

Spectrum aside, you don't need 600w for veg though if that's what your blooming with

A plant at end of veg period requires under half the irradiance of a plant at full bloom.

Just saving you some dough mate
