Default Trouble Getting Durban Magic Seeds to Germinate

I bought some Durban Magic seeds from Seeds of Africa and I'm starting to worry that they may be too old to germinate. I'm down to 3 seeds now so if anyone has some advice or tips, I'd greatly appreciate it. Here's what I've tried so far:

Perforate the outer shell with abrasion
Soak seeds in water for several days before attempting germination
Used cotton pads in a glass bowl with cling wrap as my standard method (I have nearly 100% success with this method using other seeds)

i do much the same as you, only unknown is do you store them cold/in fridge ?

i store mine in fridge and then use the room temp water/luke warm water on bog roll and beleive it helps them realise its time to grow.

could all be bollocks mind but works for me.

Do you have any root stimulant? If so try soaking them in a combination of lukewarm water and root stimulant at 2-3ml per litre.

Failing that you could always try the simple method. stick it in some moist dirt knuckle deep

Yeah, I've been refrigerating too. These seeds are probably just duds.

I don't have any root stimulant but I'm going to try the dirt method. Thanks!

I wonder if Cap'n Beef has an opinion on perforating the outer shell with abrasion?

Yeah, as Herbitual mentioned, it wasn't 7 days but I still may have been soaking them too long. Thanks for the advice!
